Crack down on online rumors and keep the cyberspace clean! The Gangtou Police Station is taking action…

Crack down on online rumors and purify the cyberspace! The Gangtou Police Station has launched an intensive publicity campaign across its jurisdiction to combat and address online misinformation.

To further advance the special campaign to combat and rectify online rumors, enhance the public’s ability to identify and resist such misinformation, and mitigate the adverse impacts of online rumors on people’s daily lives, on March 27, the Gangtou Police Station of Fuqing Municipal Public Security Bureau, under the leadership of its station chief, organized a publicity event aimed at cracking down on and addressing online rumors as part of the “One Million Police Officers Enter Ten Million Households” initiative.
During the event, police officers distributed informational leaflets, presented case studies, and displayed banners to explain to students the characteristics of online rumors and how to identify them. They urged all students to take personal responsibility by refraining from posting unverified information or fabricating false content, avoiding the spread of rumors, and firmly resisting online harassment. They also encouraged students to promptly report illegal online activities, thereby effectively safeguarding their legitimate rights and interests.
Going forward, the Gangtou Police Station will continue to carry out public awareness campaigns to combat and address online rumors, encouraging the general public to consciously resist such misinformation, abide by the law, and work together to foster a healthy and harmonious online environment.
